Who we are
What’s On Aberfeldy (“we”, “us”) is a community events guide for Aberfeldy and Highland Perthshire, presented by Nae Tripper. We are the data controller for personal data processed through this website. You can contact us at hello@naetripper.com.
What we collect
- Event submissions: the details you enter in the submission form, including organiser name, contact email and event information.
- Administrator accounts: email address and authentication data for people who moderate listings.
- Technical data: basic server and security logs (such as IP address, browser type and pages requested) generated when you visit the site.
Why we use it and our lawful basis
We process event submissions to review and publish listings — our legitimate interest in running a public events guide, and to take steps at your request. We process administrator data to secure the site (legitimate interest and contract). We process technical data to keep the service reliable and secure (legitimate interest).
Information you submit about a public event, including the organiser details you choose to publish, will appear publicly on this website.
Sharing
We do not sell personal data. We use service providers who process data on our behalf for hosting, database, authentication and content-processing services. Some providers may process data outside the UK; where they do, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the UK International Data Transfer Addendum or adequacy regulations.
Retention
Published listings are kept while they remain useful as a public record of local events. Rejected submissions and routine technical logs are kept for a limited period and then deleted.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you have the right to access, correct, erase, restrict or object to the processing of your personal data, and to data portability. To exercise any of these, email us and we will respond within one month. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk).
Cookies and similar technologies
We use only cookies and local storage that are strictly necessary to run the site, such as keeping administrators signed in. We do not use advertising cookies.
Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it was last revised.
